Google has added more tools to allow real-time contributions from the community to help users stay even more informed when they’re behind the wheel. Here are the new features Google announced:

First, Google has added the ability for people to report crashes, speed traps and traffic slowdowns right from their iPhone. This has been one of Google’s most popular features on Android, and now they have expanded it to iOS.

Second, Google has introduced the ability to report four new types of incidents–construction, lane closures, disabled vehicles, and objects on the road (like debris). Users can now quickly know if they’ll encounter one of these potential obstructions on their ride, and plan accordingly. To report an incident, simply tap on the + sign and then on “Add a report.”
