Five plastic surgery startups have been selected as finalists in the annual MedTech Innovator Accelerator program and competition. This joint effort between the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) and MedTech Innovator (MTI) aims to support promising new companies in the medical device, diagnostic, and digital health technology sectors.
The five startups chosen to represent the MTI/ASPS Plastic Surgery Accelerator track are 4th Dimension EMR, Cellulora, Fingy 3D, ImmersiveTouch, and Newrotex. They will compete for a share of $800,000 in funding awards during the four-month program. ASPS President Gregory Greco emphasizes the importance of innovation in plastic surgery and the potential for improving healthcare globally.
The ASPS/MTI partnership has proven successful in supporting startups, and this year’s cohort has expanded to include more participants. The MTI/ASPS Plastic Surgery Accelerator is made possible through the support of Motiva, the Society’s 2023 Innovation Sponsor. The selected startups will also receive mentoring from ASPS surgeons and entrepreneurs, as well as participate in MedTech Innovator’s corporate mentorship program.
