Binance, the world’s leading blockchain ecosystem and cryptocurrency infrastructure provider, has announced the drop details for their second NFT collection in collaboration with soccer superstar Cristiano Ronaldo. The collection, titled ForeverCR7: The GOAT, celebrates Ronaldo’s status as the highest goal scorer of all time, with 838 career goals to date.
The NFT collection consists of over 29,000 digital collectibles, offering fans the opportunity to ‘own’ the goal numbers and memories from Ronaldo’s career-defining moments. Each NFT in the collection represents a specific memorable goal, such as his record-breaking #806 goal or his self-proclaimed best goal, #649, which was scored with a bicycle kick.
According to Binance Co-Founder and Chief Marketing Officer Yi He, the first drop of the Ronaldo NFT collection was the most successful athlete NFT collection of all time, and the team aims to build on that success with this second collection. He emphasized the real-world use case of the NFTs, showcasing how Web 3.0 is revolutionizing the sports and entertainment industries.
Ronaldo expressed his excitement about collaborating with Binance again and creating a collection that reflects on his career highlights. He is looking forward to the response from fans and the opportunity to train with a lucky few.
The ForeverCR7: The GOAT NFT collection will be available on July 3, featuring artwork for 20 of Ronaldo’s most memorable goals. The NFTs will be categorized into four rarity levels: Super Super Rare (SSR), Super Rare (SR), Rare (R), and Normal (N).
Of the most valuable NFTs in the collection (SSRs), six will be sold via auction on the Binance NFT marketplace, with bidding prices starting at $15,000 USD. The highest bidder will be awarded the NFT. Additionally, the auction winners will have the unique opportunity to train with Ronaldo and receive tickets to an upcoming Binance Blockchain Week.
The SR and R NFTs will be offered for sale on the Binance marketplace through a subscription mechanism, starting at $200 USD for SR and $30 USD for R.
The remaining 28,000 NFTs of the Normal (N) variety will be exclusively available through the ForeverCR7 Box, priced at $10.
Each rarity level of the NFTs comes with its own set of exclusive perks, including personalized messages from Ronaldo, videos describing the featured goals, signed posters and merchandise, guaranteed access to future CR7 NFT drops, and entry into giveaways with signed merchandise and prizes.
Existing holders of CR7 NFTs from the inaugural 2022 collection will also have access to this second set and may be eligible to receive complimentary NFT Mystery Boxes from the first drop, as well as ForeverCR7 Boxes and high rarity NFTs from the second drop.
