Plan A, a Berlin-based GreenTech startup has developed software to help companies measure their carbon emissions and translate those insights into concrete action that employees, management, and clients can easily get behind and achieve.
The software provides a monthly carbon footprint calculation for companies of any industry and size, a carbon monitor dashboard to visualize and communicate progress to different stakeholders, as well as tailored sustainability action plans. The software also features a dashboard of over 100 partner organizations that help implement carbon offsetting solutions.
“In order to address effectively climate change, businesses need to be at the core of sustainable action. Plan A enables this by offering an all-in-one solution for companies, embedding sustainability in a company seamlessly.”
Lubomila Jordanova, Founder and CEO, Plan A
Plan A was founded in the spring of 2017 with the objective of leveraging data to support and orient the finance allocation addressing climate change. The company believes that climate data science, collective climate action, transparency, and knowledge will be the determining factors to beat climate change and create a better, more sustainable world for all.
Climate action has become a central topic in public discussions. Throughout 2019, school strikes uniting more than 6 million people from 150+ countries, and forest fires from the Amazon to the Arctic, have made the headlines confirming that climate action has entered a new era.
In less than 5 years, climate change has become a leading concern among North Americans, and the leading worry for Millennials and Generation Z. Forty-percent of Millennials and Gen-Z report having chosen their jobs because of the company’s commitment to sustainability or have accepted a lower salary to work at these companies.
